Answer:

In the tendering stage we provide the customer with a draft image of the appearance of the product. Once the order has been placed, we provide the customer with a detailed AutoCAD image with measurements and other specifications. When the customer returns the approved image, we start the production and the delivery time starts, as well.

Answer:

The individual panels of fire-rated glass walls are always straight. Our arched fire-resistant glass walls are implemented by installing individual glass panels in a slight angle.
Perhaps we will produce arched glass structures in the future, but for the time being the costs are too high for the market due to the price of arched fire-resistant glass.

Answer:

All our products are custom-made in accordance with the measurements and other requirements provided by our customers. As doors are not standardised products, we do not manufacture them for storage.

Answer:

In addition to the details of the product itself, it is advisable to say where the product will be placed on the ship. Is the product located indoors or e.g. along an exit route? Our professional staff knows the special requirements for glass structures used onboard vessels, and they can give you valuable tips regarding the security equipment needed for the door, for example.

Special structures:

Answer:

It is always a good idea to contact us for a solution. We have tested tens of different special structures, for which we have valid test reports but have not applied for certification. Based on these test reports, we are able to apply for a ship-specific case by case approval with classification societies.

Answer:

The average delivery time is 8 weeks from when the order was placed / the customer approved the drawings. The delivery time is often prolonged if special finishings or special glass solutions are chosen for the product.
Consequently, the customer should reserve a sufficient amount of time especially for special colours and other finishings and for demanding decorations.

Answer:

The prices of our products consist of expensive materials and work that is done almost by hand. The price of fire-resistant glass is multiple compared to e.g. tempered glass. The prices are also raised by special glass solutions, decorations, special finishings and matching fittings. Moreover, each product is the result of extensive product development work and possibly several expensive fire tests. Maintaining the certificates is costly and also requires quality management, which is carried out by a classification society through annual audits subject to a charge.
Our products are delivered ready to install, which enables the customers to cut their installation costs.

Answer:

We send you the valid certificate along with the product. The actual product has a label stating the product name, serial number, manufacturing time, certificate number, number of the classification society, contact information of the manufacturer and the wheel mark. The glass also has a visible stamp indicating that it is a fire-resistant glass product.
Before placing your order, you can check the valid certificates on our website under “Certificates” or send us an e-mail request for the front page of the certificate that states the validity period of the certificate. We, as the manufacturer, are responsible for ensuring that the product matches the certificate.

Logistics:

Answer:

Our products are made of durable safety glass. They are carefully packed and supported in wooden export packages that will endure the transportations and moving. The actual elements are protected with shield plates that protect the products against scratching during transportations and storage at the shipyard.

Answer:

The B15 and A60 fire-resistant glass structures must be stored in a dry place and protected from direct sun light, heat and frost, because the fire-resistant glazing may react and turn grey.

Installations:

Answer:

If necessary, we can complete the installation or arrange for a supervisor to help you to get started with the installation. Most of our customers want to do the installations themselves to save time and costs.
Our products are delivered as complete modules / elements that are easy to install onboard the vessel. Our products are accompanied with installation instructions.

Warranty:

Answer:

The products have a two-year warranty that starts when the ship is handed over to the customer.
