We are pleased to announce significant updates to Pocadel Oy’s leadership, effective January 1, 2025. This marks an important step as we welcome new expertise to our Board of Directors.
The new Board of Directors will consist of:
- Øyvind Nilsen, Chairman of the Board
- Roy Langseth
- Kari Pihlajaniemi
- Are Andreassen
- Timo Nurminen
Kari Pihlajaniemi joins the board with an extensive background in the marine industry, including a distinguished 25-year career at Royal Caribbean. His deep understanding of the industry and its stakeholders will bring valuable insights to Pocadel Oy’s strategic initiatives.
Are Andreassen, who has led our sister company Baggerød AS as managing director, will now focus on other responsibilities within Baggerød AS while contributing his decades of experience in the marine door business to Pocadel Oy’s board.
Timo Nurminen, serving as Pocadel Oy’s technical director with over 20 years of experience in marine aluminum structures, will bring important insights to the board.
We also take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Maria Perrakoski, who is retiring after decades of dedicated service. Maria has been instrumental in expanding Pocadel Oy’s export business and establishing the company as a trusted leader in the global marine industry. We wish her all the best in her well-earned retirement.
Continuing their service on the board are Øyvind Nilsen, representing the Nilsen family and a key shareholder of our parent company IMS Group AS, and Roy Langseth, the CEO of IMS Group AS. Under the direction of the renewed Board of Directors, our CEO Sami Luoto will continue to lead the company towards sustainable growth and innovation.
